Well, this is my first beauty haul……on this site. Trust me, there have been many, many beauty hauls made by yours truly over the years! When I had that adrenaline rush with the tell-tale black-and-white striped Sephora box on my doorstep, I decided I just had to share that experience with you……a Spring season beauty haul!
This haul is a mixture of my skincare favourites and new products for trialling, makeup replacements, and a few treats that snuck into the basket unexpectedly (“How did that lipstick get in there?!”).
A few products are trials for better weather coming, now winter is finally over, but also to complete my New Year’s goal of looking after my body skincare a bit better.
The flowers have started to bloom, blossom is on the trees and we’ve finally made it to March. This, for me, is why it is a spring season beauty haul.
So, grab your favourite beauty beverage and prepare to indulge in a virtual shopping spree with me.

What Did I Buy In This Spring Season Beauty Haul?
Hydrea London Professional Dry Skin Body Brush
Let’s get this party started (I’ve promised my teenage boys I would never say that!) with this body brush.
I recently wrote a post on the importance of body skincare, which I have been lacking in. As my New Year’s goal was to rectify this oversight, I realised my dry exfoliating mitt was……well, there’s no other word for it – mouldy!
As I knew this was certainly a body skincare step I did not want to skip, I knew instantly it had to be replaced with this product. Even without the mould, it looks so much prettier sitting on my bathroom shelf than an ugly mitt – shallow, I know!

This eco-friendly body brush is made with cactus bristles that have been specifically cut in a curved shape for easier all-over brushing. I chose the hard strength, but I’m not entirely sure why!
Body brushing is meant to remove unwanted toxins, improve lymphatic drainage and digestion and finally reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Being transparent here, I normally would look up the science behind these claims for you, but considering this is just a beauty haul, I didn’t think it was worth it! I will be doing so for another upcoming body skincare post, so stay tuned.
What I can tell is I get one heck of a tingle all over my skin when I use this product (very lightly – why did I get the hard strength?!) and that’s got to be good for me, right?! It also gives you’re body one heck of color – but in a good way.

Beauty Blender
This is the original beauty blender, and in my opinion, the best. This was a replacement for my old one which has seen better days.
I have also tried applying my foundation with both a foundation brush and nature’s tools (my fingers). My fingers just don’t give a nice enough finish, and I need to allow at least half a day to apply it with a foundation brush.

I have spoken to a foundation expert at Sephora who said using a beauty blender wastes a huge amount of our foundation as the sponge soaks it up, but I find as long as you soak it with water 1st and then wring it out with a tissue, it works perfectly.
Multiple-minute bounces all over the face and you end up with your foundation looking *chef’s kiss*.
Drunk Elephant Kamili Cream Body Cleanser
This was the one product I was most excited about……
Again, with my drive to improve my body skincare routine, and only a tiny amount of research before clicking “Buy Now”, I figured facial cleansers are good so it stands to reason that body cleansers are good too. Right?
So, with some trepidation as I was essentially spending a lot of money on what is essentially a different name for a shower gel (which I can get for a couple of quid), I bought this Drunk Elephant iteration.

I’ve got to know the Drunk Elephant brand a fair bit through their Vitamin C serum and mineral sunscreen. I love their “Suspicious 6” ethos and know their products are not gimmicky (despite recent news reports following the craze children and young teenagers are going through with them).
This cleanser is formulated to rinse dirt and other substances away while “non-fragrant plant oils and skin-restorative amino acids replenish and soothe, leaving behind a light layer of protective lipids.
I will be doing a deeper review of this product, but my first impressions are that it is much richer and more moisturising than your bog-standard shower gel, so worth the increase in price over my £2.99 normal spend. I’m still not convinced it is quite worth the actual cost of it, but time will tell……..
Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Pencil
I’m not overly obsessed with my eyebrows as is the current trend (ok, more than a passing trend now), but I do accept a bit of depth of colour does make a difference to my face.
Thankful, I never jumped on the “pluck my eyebrow to within an inch of their life” bandwagon in my youth, so they are naturally fairly full, just not slug size full! All I need is a pencil to define the outline and to colour it in.

My current eyebrow pencil was a total waste of money as it just didn’t make a mark on my skin, apart from the skin on my hand. I’ve yet to work out what makes one work and not another, so this was a stab in the dark as to whether it would be effective.
Breaking news: it works…..phew!
As to the other useless pencil? It’s going to be used as an actual pencil for my son to colour with!
BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30
Actually, this was the one product I was most excited about!
I was going to mention this product in my list of best multi-purpose beauty products for busy moms, and honestly, I’m not sure why I chose not to. I think I will go back to the post now and add it in as I do think this deserves to be on it.
What are the different purposes you get with this one product, I hear you ask? Well they are, in no particular order:
- a moisturiser
- a (light coverage) foundation
- an SPF 30, and a mineral one at that (if you want to more about mineral sunscreen have a look at this post

This is the matte finish to the top-selling SPF tinted moisturiser BareMinerals are known for. I’ve been tempted to try this for a while and when I saw they had a matte version I was overjoyed – I love matte anything when it comes to beauty!
This is such a lovely product and it certainly has met my expectations I’m pleased to say. I don’t think it’s quite as hydrating as I would like from a moisturiser, but on the other hand, I do seem to pour as much moisture into my skin as I can.
I have a lovely glow with it, which I’m going to love come the better weather – exactly why I bought this product in this Spring season beauty haul!
It does an amazing job of blurring the look of imperfections, pores, blemishes and redness as described in its description, but I will say if you need heavier coverage for all of those things, this may not be enough.
Keep a lookout for a review on this product coming in the not-so-distant future…..

NARS Afterglow Lipstick
My treat to myself and bought because I have a terrible addiction to lipsticks that are all the same colour!
I could tell roughly how many beauty hauls I have done over the years if I just counted my lipstick collection up! I simply have to get a new one in with each shop, however small it is.
This particular colour is Orgasm (never thought I’d be writing that word too often on this blog!) which is quite a light pink colour.

One day I will write about my love for lipsticks, and being as brave as I am with them, I have multiples in reds, corals, pinks and nudes……and I’m not afraid to wear them (just not at the same time)
This Sephora haul I decided I needed to add to my pink collection, and specifically a light pink. I decided I NEEDED to get this colour in this Spring season beauty haul for the summer palette ahead……being a girl guide taught me to be prepared!
Yes, this was a close match to what I was hoping for, but a little too much light and not enough pink. No matter, it will certainly be used as it’s still rather lovely!
The description does say it gives sheer coverage, which I would agree with, but that it can be layered to give a medium coverage. Oh, it will be!
Evolve Beauty Tropical Blossom Body Butter
Ok, it’s actually this product I was most excited for!!
Keeping on the body skincare theme, I had grown weary of Palmer’s cocoa butter I had an overabundance of and was trying to get through. Wanting an overhaul of all my body skincare products, I had my eye on body butters.
In my eyes Evolve can do no wrong, so I knew this was the body butter for me!

It is divine! Really silky and thick, but not in a sticky not-being-able-to-get-your-clothes-on-for-hours sort of way. The smell is a creamy and sweet tropical smell – certainly not that chemical type of fragrance you get from “tropical” products. I think it reminds me of a Solero ice cream!
I truly love the feel of my skin since using this – it just feels soft and that’s all I’m after! Oh, and I should also mention as a perfume lover, the fragrance of this does not counteract any perfume I wear – It’s gone after an hour or two.
I think this is the highlight of this Sephora haul……

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume
My lipstick obsession is closely followed by my perfume obsession!

It’s unusual for me to have a full-size of any perfume as I am a member of a club that gives me a month’s supply of perfume of my choice. I love trying different ones out, and even if I fall in love with one, I still love to move on to another.
With one exception……..this one!
A lovely friend at school introduced me to this and I’ve been in love ever since. Even the bottle is beautiful! I think it’s up there as my (current) favorite….
It’s got quite a sweet tone to it, but not at all overly sweet if that’s your concern.

Conclusion To This Spring Season Beauty Haul
So there we go! All the Spring season beauty products I got from this haul…..This is my first post on a haul, but be rest assured if my lipstick collection is anything to go by, there’ll be plenty more!!
I can’t wait to dive deeper into testing and reviewing these products in the coming weeks. The Drunk Elephant body cleanser, BareMinerals tinted moisturizer, and Evolve body butter have already made promising first impressions.
And you can be sure I’ll be putting the cult-favourite Beauty Blender through its paces once again with my makeup applications.
While this haul did put a dent in my beauty budget, the thrill of unboxing all those Sephora goodies was well worth it. Beauty indulgences like this are what keep my self-care routine fresh and exciting.
As much as I enjoyed this haul, I’m already looking forward to planning the next one. A beauty lover’s work is never done! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products yourself or if you have recommendations for my next Sephora splurge.
So many products to choose from this spring season beauty hall!
Ha ha! You ain’t seen nothin yet!!
Such great suggestions! I haven’t been to Sephora in awhile. I love the body brush, must be so relaxing.
It is rather lovely! It makes the skin tingle…..
Wow, that’s quite a beauty haul! So fun though!! I love the dry brush!! Dry brushing is something I love to do!!
Yes! It really is fun. Body brushing is fast becoming my favourite part of my skincare routine too!
I’ve been wanting to try the bare minerals tinted moisturizer do you love it?!
Yes I do, but I would say in certain circumstances! I sometimes feel it’s not hydrating enough as a moisturiser on it’s own, so if I’m short on time it’s perfect just for the SPF and coverage…..I know I’m getting a bit of hydration with the other benefits, and am more likely to not be late!! I think I’m more likely to use it in the warmer weather too, probably not the winter.
I Love the list. I use some of the products you recommended so I’m checking out those that are new to me. Thanks
Great! Hope you enjoy them too…..
I’ll have to check out the Lancome perfume. I love perfume but tend to stick to the ones I usually rotate. I do love going to Sephora or a department store to check out new scents.
I wish I had a Sephora store close buy, but probably a good thing there isn’t! Perhaps get hold of a tester with this perfume – I’ve had lots of patients at work who wear this and it seems to suit everyone!
